Tithe Envelope Reminders

Pre-Printed Envelopes

Always show your name and the amount of money enclosed in the appropriate block (Tithe & Offering, Mission, Day Care or Restoration Fund) on your envelope.

Check and cash donations are removed from the envelopes and counted. The envelope is then used to enter your donation into the computer program which keeps a record of your giving. If no amount is shown and not corrected during the counting process, the donation will not be recorded. (The amounts shown on tithe envelopes are verified by the Deacon/Trustee but may be inadvertently overlooked.

If you forget your pre-printed envelope, always use a brown envelope for your donations. Donations put in the offering boxes without an envelope are counted in the general offering and are therefore not credited to the member's giving record.

Show your name and address on the back of the envelope in the month of December and whenever a change occurs. This will help the church maintain correct name and address information and ensure the correct name and address is shown on quarterly/yearly financial statements.

Brown Envelops

To ensure your contribution is properly recorded, always show your name, envelope number, the amont enclosed and whether the donation should be applied to Tithe & Offering, Mission, Day Care or Restoration fund.

Donations Not Included in Tithe Envelopes

Always report all other donations to your group's financial secretary by the fourth Sunday of each month. These include donations such as, offerings given at church services (other than Tithe & Offering, Mission, Day Care or Restoration); Sunday School offering; group/auxiliary or choir dues/donations; donations to help with group dinners; Homecoming; Church Anniversary; Pastor's Anniversary, etc. The appropriate form should be obtained from your group's financial secretary.
