.Team Pastor
To provide spiritual and administrative guidance and leadership to the team in each and every area needed. To size up the spirituality of the team and to plan, initiate and carry out the spiritual work of the team. To secure and maintain cooperation on every level throughout the team. To enlist and see to it that the new leadership and membership of the team is trained and functioning effectively in their respected capacities. To promote teamwork in every member of the team. To spread the spiritual and physical workload of the team fairly and evenly. To be kept abreast of all team members status and problems. To make him/herself available to the team at all times for any reason.
Assistant Team Pastor:
To assist the Team Pastor in all areas mentioned above and to carry these duties out to the fullest in co-ordination with the Team Pastor.
Captain and Assistant Captain:
To assist the Team Pastor and Assistant Team Pastor in carrying out and maintaining the spiritual posture of the team and to assist wherever the Holy Spirit deems necessary.
President:
To provide organizational and administrative leadership to the team. To preside over all business meetings of the team. To be knowledgeable in the conducting of team affairs and to be aware of the team's problems and to assist the Team Pastor and Assistant Team Pastor.
Vice President:
To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the presidency in co-ordination with the President.
Recording Secretary:
To keep efficient, concise and accurate records of team gatherings, (team meetings, bible studies, social, etc.) To record the proceedings (what is done) not the debate (what is said). To record the name of the member who introduces a motion. To notify the Team Pastor and President of appointments and business. To take charge of all documents belonging to the team when requested. To call the meeting to order in the absence of the Team Pastor, President, Vice President until the election of a chairman pro tem which should take place immediately.
Financial Secretary:
To keep accurate records of all team funds (dues, dinners, anniversaries, benevolence, etc). To make a report monthly to the church in Business Meeting. To turn over all collected monies to the Treasurer, giving an accurate record to the Treasurer and keeping a duplicate copy for him/herself. This should be signed by the Treasurer as having received such monies. These receipts are to be kept by both for auditing purposes.
Treasurer:
To collect and disburse team funds on any and all team affairs. At any given moment be able to give the team an account of their funds. To disburse all monies as the team directs. To give a statement of finances as often as requested by the team.
Correspondence Secretary:
To keep team members aware of all team affairs and to be responsible for publishing and disbursing the monthly team newsletter. To have a current list of all officers, committees and general membership and to notify all members of team meetings and affairs. To conduct correspondence as directed by the team and to read important correspondence or the gist of it to the team.
Program Chairperson:
To be responsible for coordinating the various programs for the team on a church wide basis. To primarily coordinate the team's anniversary along with the chairpersons from sister teams. To attend the meetings of the various committees and to report to the team its finding and to keep the team current on all segments of the program.
Benevolence Chairperson:
To be responsible for keeping abreast of all sick and shut-in members of the team. To maintain written communication (via get-well cards mailed out periodically) and telephonic communication. At each team meeting this person should report on the status of each member on the church's sick list and make an extensive inquiry as to the status of any sudden additions. If a report cannot be made to the team be sure to notify the Team Pastor and President.
New Members/Membership Clerk:
To be responsible for greeting the new members initially on behalf of the team and to obtain vital information on the new member from the church membership clerk. To introduce the new member to the team and to make certain the new member receives the "Four Periods of Instructions" in a timely manner to be present at the Baptismal Service and the upcoming month to receive "The Right Hand of Fellowship". To maintain contact with the new member for their first 90 days of membership.
Chaplain:
To be responsible for opening the meeting/rehearsal with spirit-filled devotion. To assist the Team Pastor in maintaining the spirituality of the team. Also to insure that the meeting/rehearsal closes with prayer.
Social Chairperson:
To be responsible for coordinating the team's social. To secure a location and time for the team's gathering and to obtain a list of dishes to be donated. To assist in the advance preparation and cleanup of the social afterwards.
Kitchen Committee Chairperson:
To be responsible for coordinating along with the committee to formalize a menu for the team's dinner and to obtain a list of items donated or of cash given for purchase of meats or last minute items to be purchased. To be in the church kitchen not later than 9:30am on the Sunday dinners are to be served, to receive incoming dishes. To oversee the serving of dinners and to insure the Kitchen is cleaned and the dish towels and dishcloths are bagged.
Security Chairperson:
To be responsible of insuring there is ample security for the interior and exterior of the church to include Washington Boulevard, Ashland Avenue, and the parking lots. These are to be patrolled from 9:00am to 7:30pm on the Sunday the team is responsible for dinners.
Duties of Team Members:
To obtain the floor before speaking. To stand when speaking if convenient. To avoid speaking upon any matter until it is properly brought to the team by a motion. To keep discussion germane to the question pending. To yield the floor to calls for order. To abstain from all personalities when debating and discussing. To avoid disturbing, in any way speakers of the assembly. To actively participate in the total ministries of the team and church.
Rights of Team Members:
To offer any motion that is germane to the team. To explain or discuss the motion, or any matter properly before the meeting. To call to order, if necessary. (A point of order can interrupt a speaker.) It is raised to insure proper orderly procedure, particularly when there is a member not speaking on the motion or point of business presently before the team. To hold the floor, when legally obtained until through speaking. To appeal the decision of the Team Pastor or President.
